Appraisals
It is important to have your jewelry appraised in case of loss or theft; without an appraisal, most homeowner or renters insurance will not cover the full worth of your jewelry. We offer appraisal services with a fee relative to the amount of time it takes to appraise your jewelry. Due to the increasing value of gold, platinum, and gemstones, we recommend having your jewelry appraised every two to three years.
We are very happy to offer you the exert appraisal services of Su McKenzie. An award-winning appraiser and graduate gemologist, Su has been providing jewelry and gem appraisal services to clients since 1990. Jewels That Dance has a long-standing relationship with Su and we can say with all confidence that she is the best in the business.
A graduate of GIA (The Gemological Institute of America), as well as a tested member of the International Society of Appraisers (membership to which requires and ongoing series of testing and certification) and a member of the Gemological Appraisal Association, Su has honed her skills through education and practice, and blends them with her innate sense of ethics, discretion and trustworthiness. In short: Su understands what your jewelry means to you, and she will treat and examine it with the same care and attention that you would expect from an appraiser with such a sterling reputation.
We are proud to offer Su's appraisal services in-house every other Thursday (starting July 29). You may drop off your pieces ahead of time or make an appointment to speak with Su in person as she performs your appraisal. Please feel free to contact Jewels That Dance with any questions about this service, or to schedule an appointment.
