What's a Girl to Wear?

As we move into the cooler months, here in Asheville, we are starting to see more of this seasons biggest trend; eye catching necklaces.  One artist, Steven Richards, is handcrafting his statement necklaces by pairing rough diamonds with fully cut diamonds and embedding them in  luminous gold or icy white gold, resulting in a "perfectly imperfect" look.

Not to say there is one statement necklace of the season; styles range from yellow gold with rough diamonds to the bold earthy colors of Australian opal. In fact, there is a sort of inconsistent consistency among this seasons necklaces.  In other words, your necklace should be a perfect expression of who you are. And if, while sipping cocktails with your friends the conversation happens to turn to your necklace, smile to yourself, you're ahead of the trend.
