What is a Gemstone Round table?

It is part education, part treasure hunt and all fun. The recipe is simple. Begin with the company of interesting people, add good food and drink, sprinkle liberally with loose colored gemstones, and garnish with the lore and history of each stone.

How does it work?

Remember when you were a kid and called dibs on something you liked? That’s what happens at a Collectors’ Round table. Guests call “dibs” on their favorite stones.

You can purchase an heirloom-quality gemstone in a wide range of prices and discuss jewelry design at the Round table, but there is no pressure to buy.

We want you to have a good time, learn more about your favorite gemstones, and experience nature’s masterpieces in ways few people ever do.

Why is it fun?

This is literally a hands-on event. The gems are passed around the table while Jim shares information about each gem’s history, nuances, and the intricacies of its cut.

It’s a unique opportunity to learn more about these natural wonders.

Paula Dawkins Fine Jewelry

Hi, I’m Paula Dawkins. Thanks so much for visiting Jewels That Dance and for all your support over the past 36 years.  After a wonderful run in downtown Asheville, Carol and I decided it was time to close Jewels That Dance.  After making this decision, I realized I wasn’t quite ready to stop doing what I so love: making jewelry!  I’ve decided to stay put in my studio and open a custom design and fine jewelry repair shop.  Pete, our master jeweler, is joining me and we invite you to visit Paula Dawkins Fine Jewelry.  We hope to see you soon.
