Two Awards Confirm That Jewels That Dance Is A Favorite – Both Nationally and in WNC!

Asheville has known for years that Jewels That Dance is a winner.  This summer that has been officially confirmed – both nationally and locally.

Jewels That Dance was named a top ten jewelry-designer retailer this summer  at JCK Las Vegas, the jewelry industry’s premier event.   The Asheville-based jewelry store shared honors with jewelry designers from Chicago, New York City, Houston, Indianapolis and Washington D.C.

“We were thrilled to be named one of the top jewelry-designer businesses,” said co-owner Carol Schniedewind.  “And it was especially gratifying because we were – by far – the smallest city listed on the list.”
award    The annual JCK Las Vegas event is open to all jewelry professionals in  North                    America.  Each year, the industry gathers the latest awe-inspiring           designers              working in jewelry today . . . and to honor top members of the            profession.

As if a big national award was not enough, Jewels That Dance has been          named       Best Jewelry Store in WNC by the Mt. Xpress Readers poll — for the thirteenth                    year!

“While we were pleased to win the JCK national award this summer,” said Carol Schniedewind, “it is even more gratifying to be honored locally.”

More than 8,000 Mt. Xpress readers cast ballots in this year’s 20th annual Best of WNC competition.

Paula Dawkins Fine Jewelry

Hi, I’m Paula Dawkins. Thanks so much for visiting Jewels That Dance and for all your support over the past 36 years.  After a wonderful run in downtown Asheville, Carol and I decided it was time to close Jewels That Dance.  After making this decision, I realized I wasn’t quite ready to stop doing what I so love: making jewelry!  I’ve decided to stay put in my studio and open a custom design and fine jewelry repair shop.  Pete, our master jeweler, is joining me and we invite you to visit Paula Dawkins Fine Jewelry.  We hope to see you soon.
