The Collaborators of Jewels That Dance

Posted on November 16, 2018 //

Designer-goldsmith Paula Dawkins opened Jewels That Dance 35 years ago in downtown Asheville.  About thirteen years ago Pete Suder, a masterful jeweler and goldsmith, joined ranks with Paula. Together they can flawlessly execute any jewelry design. Pete began his jewelry career in Philadelphia, on jewelers’ row, and moved to Asheville after owning his own store in Florida.   Paula, a North Carolina native, has made her living as a jeweler since graduating from college.  Mostly self taught, Paula has , over the years, earned many accolades for her jewelry designs and her expertise as a goldsmith

Paula Dawkins Fine Jewelry

Hi, I’m Paula Dawkins. Thanks so much for visiting Jewels That Dance and for all your support over the past 36 years.  After a wonderful run in downtown Asheville, Carol and I decided it was time to close Jewels That Dance.  After making this decision, I realized I wasn’t quite ready to stop doing what I so love: making jewelry!  I’ve decided to stay put in my studio and open a custom design and fine jewelry repair shop.  Pete, our master jeweler, is joining me and we invite you to visit Paula Dawkins Fine Jewelry.  We hope to see you soon.
