The Design Process: Creating custom jewelry is a form of art. Not everyone is attracted to or understands this time honored tradition, but for those who do, we enjoy great pride in our success. Taking your unique personality and placing it into a jeweled work of art can be one of the most personal events you will experience.

Consultation: Whenever possible we prefer to schedule a design appointment, that way we can be sure to set aside a block of time just for you. You will work directly with the artist designer and metal smiths to discover the style that matches your vision. Please keep in mind that our artist is exactly that. We are intuitive creative that sometime push the boundaries, sometime playing it safe, but always try our very best to capture your vision so please be prepared for a fun and fascinating experience.

The Design: We begin with our collaborative ideas and develop a sketch or drawing. Next we use our state of the art 3-D computer modeling software which generates a photo realistic rendering. The 3-D process can take a few days to complete, depending on the difficulty of the design. We charge a $100 deposit at this stage of the design process. The deposit will be applied to the cost of the finished jewelry. As the final design is rendered, we develop a quote. The written estimate will be honored for 10 days and may be subject to change depending of metal market or design changes.

The Process: The custom process from design to delivery will generally take 3 to 8 weeks. We will always try to accommodate for upcoming events that require a quick turnaround, but please keep in mind that expedited service could add additional expense as overtime charges are required. The complexity of the job and our current workload will determine the timing.

The Finished Product: We can control many factors when it comes to creating jewelry, but we cannot control time itself. Custom jewelry design and fabrication is a form of art that requires great skill and dedication. It is becoming increasingly rare to find individuals who are as talented and devoted to the craft as the metal smiths at Jewels that Dance. Our talent and skills are in great demand and are humbled to be your jeweler.

Pricing, Estimates and Payments: Verbal estimations are an approximation of price only and all firm estimates will be given to the customer in writing. All estimates will be valid for 14 days, due to the changing metals market. In order for a piece to be started, when the estimate is agreed upon by both parties, we ask for a 50% deposit and full payment on major gemstones. Jewels That Dance charges a design fee of $100. This fee is deducted from the final price of the custom piece.
